Bob was a featured author at the annual Charlotte Literary Festival in North Carolina last August. The two-day festival is conducted to foster literary awareness in the North Carolina area. His latest book, about Gen. Patton, is now at the publishers.
FOX News Channel is re-running it's “War Stories with Oliver North” episode on Gen. George S. Patton Jr., Sunday, September 3. Bob, who is writing a book on the death of Gen. Patton, appears in the documentary. Patton was America’s greatest fighting general and his death from an auto accident in Germany in 1945, is still shrouded in mystery. The show will be aired, according to its producers, at 8 p.m. Eastern time and 5 Pacific. If anyone has information about the accident or subsequent death, Bob would love to hear it.

A documentary based in part on “Japan’s Secret War” was shown on the History Channel August 16, 2005. The documentary, a British product, tells the little-known story of Japan trying to make an atomic bomb during World War II. It will probably be reaired in the near future.

SCREAM OF EAGLES, Bob's 1990 book about the creation of Topgun during the Vietnam War, is being newly published by Pocket Star, a new paperback division of Simon & Schuster. The edition, with an update, will be in stores March 1, 2005.
